Flagship Broadband Project for NWIFHE

Teaching and learning at NWIFHE has taken a giant leap forward through a pioneering Wireless Campus project, which will place us at the forefront of modern communications technology.

The initiative forms part of a major Department for Trade, Enterprise and Investment (DETI) funded wider infrastructure for the Derry City area.
Wireless Campus will bring a new level of learning technology to NWIFHE, involving ‘smart classroom’ tools such as interactive white boards, wireless data projection technology, plasma screens and more.

A spokesperson for NWIFHE added:
“We are delighted to be involved in this project. Ten lecturers in our computing section will receive wireless enabled PCs, and this technology will be exploited to enhance the learning experience of students. Furthermore, it will lead the way for innovation in the delivery of courses at the Institute.”
